Radical Museums
We’ve been exploring what radical practice and activism means for museums for a number of years. We know that museums can make a positive difference to people’s lives, and throughout this podcast series Sharon Heal and Simon Stephens from the Museums Association travel across the UK to talk to museum activists and those that are striving for and driving change.

[00:00:00] Hi, I'm Sharon Heal, the Director of the Museums Association. And I'm Simon Stevens, the Head of Publication and Events at the MA. We're here to tell you about our second Radical Museum podcast series. We interviewed some great people for our first podcast and we're really excited to tell you about who we've got lined up for the second series.
Like the first podcast series, we'll be talking to museum activists and those that are striving for and driving change, asking what radical practice means to them and the institutions they work with. So Sharon, tell us about the two museum activists you've met. Yes Simon, I've talked to Jane Henderson, Professor of Conservation at Cardiff University, and Agrippa Njanina, a Community Engagement Officer at National Museums Northern Ireland.
And I've been to meet Ken Paranada, who's the Curator of Art and Climate Change at the Sainsbury Centre in Norwich, and Leonie Bell, who's the Director of V& A [00:01:00] Dundee. So, as you've heard, we've got a great lineup of people for our second podcast series and we're looking forward to sharing it with you. The podcast will be available on all the usual channels.
Thank you for listening. We really hope you enjoy our Radical Museums podcast.[00:02:00] [00:03:00]
